It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Katherine Cook, aged 80, who departed this world on June 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on October 19, 1945, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Zoe Grogan and George Grogan, Kathy lived a life marked by kindness, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones.

After schooling, Kathy would then go on to fill many roles and responsibilities during her 50 years working at Foot locker. She always made a lasting impression on the people she worked with and built lifelong friendships including the Breakfast Club.

Kathy was the heart and soul of her family. She expressed her love through the art of cooking. Known for her adventurous spirit in the kitchen, she was delighted in trying new recipes, which always brought smiles to the faces of those who gathered around her table. A social butterfly, Kathy had a unique ability to light up a room, welcoming family and friends with open arms. Her laughter and joy were infectious, encouraging everyone around her to have fun and create lasting memories.

Above all, she loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren more than anything. She spent her life caring for them, supporting them, and encouraging them to follow their dreams. Family meant everything to her, and she was proud to be a loving part of their lives.

Surviving Kathy is her devoted husband of 58 years, John Conway Cook; her children, Ronald Edward Cook, John Cook (wife, Kim), Donald Cook (wife, Kelly), Joan Cook (husband, Bill); grandchildren, Jason Cook (wife, Katie), Amanda Horn (husband, Travis), Jim Cook (wife, Corinne), Casey Kitchen (husband, Caleb), Corey Cook (fiancée, Annette Carr), Alex Cook (fiancée, Kenna Hale), Samuel and Alexander; great grandchildren, Camron Cook, Kaylin Cook, Alexa Horn, Ayla Cook, Owen Cook and Tyler Horn; her sister, Sherry Montis; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Grogan.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Kathy will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
