It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kenneth L. Bostdorf, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, who departed this world on May 21, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on October 15, 1958, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to the late Dorothy (Maxwell) Bostdorf and Harry Bostdorf, Ken’s life was a testament to his unwavering love for family, sports, and the great outdoors.
Ken graduated from East Penn High School in 1977, where he left an indelible mark on the basketball court, becoming a member of the 1000 Point Club and a celebrated 1000 Rebounder. He was instrumental in leading the school to a District 3 Championship in 1976. He was known as an urban legend, known as "Bozz", in local summer league basketball circles. His passion for sports extended beyond the court, as he was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia 76ers, often enjoying thrilling games while savoring a tall glass of iced tea. Above all, his favorite sports to watch were his daughter Elena running hurdles and his son Gus's wrestling matches.
His love to his canine companions was evident, especially to his loyal German Shepherd, Chief, and his spirited Jack Russell, Snip. They loved spending cherished moments in nature together.
Ken is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Bao (Trinh) Bostdorf, their children Elena (Max) Meyers, and Gus Bostdorf. He also leaves behind his two precious granddaughters Hazel and Isla; his brothers, Michael and John Bostdorf; and his sister, Debbie Bostdorf. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Daniel Maxwell and David Bostdorf.
There will be a public viewing starting at 10am on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026, in the chapel of Parthemore Funeral Home 1303 Bridge Street, New Cumberland PA, 17070. A funeral service will follow right after beginning at 11am. All are welcome to join the family at Mt. Olivet Cemetery for interment at 12 noon.
