Laura Snyder Doyle

Laura Snyder Doyle, 79, of New Cumberland, PA passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on January 16, 2026. Born on May 28, 1946, in Harrisburg, PA to the late Wilbur and Esther (Julius) Snyder. Laura was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Laura was a 1964 graduate of John Harris High School. With a passion for event planning, she dedicated her life to celebrating the milestones of others, while fostering community and connection. She was a devoted member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lemoyne, where she served on Worship and Music and the Fellowship Committees, often as chairperson and as a member of Church Council.

Her talent for decorating her home brought warmth and beauty, especially during gatherings, where the aroma of her lasagna and cookies filled the air. Laura was a giving spirit who found delight in gardening, theatre and traveling, especially with friends. She valued spending time with her children and grandchildren and faithfully supported them in all their extracurricular activities by attending countless football, baseball, and softball games, as well as music performances.

Laura is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Edward Doyle; her loving children, son Bradley (Leslie) Doyle of Wynnewood, PA, and daughter Heather Doyle of New Cumberland, PA; and her cherished granddaughters, Molly and Zoey Doyle of Wynnewood, who brought her immense joy and laughter. She is also survived by her sister, Lucy (Walter) Konetschni of Chambersburg, PA and sister-in-law, Joan (Jack) Ulrich of York, PA; in addition to several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews, all of whom were touched by her love and kindness.

In addition to her parents, Laura is preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Snyder and his wife, Barbara, formerly of Tunkahannock, PA and sister-in-law, Shirley Engle and her husband, Joseph, formerly of Camp Hill, PA.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 509 Hummel Ave, Lemoyne, PA 17043 with Rev. Michael Seifried officiating on January 31st at 11 AM, with visitation beginning at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church at the address above or to Residential Hospice, to continue Laura's legacy of compassion and care for others.
