Lillian Marjorie Pusey (nee Larsen), 97, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family - those here and those who passed before her.
She was the eldest child of the late Asbjorn Wolfgang Larsen and Sigrid Regina Larsen, and was very proud of her Norwegian heritage.
Lillian met the love of her life, John Pusey, while living in Marcus Hook, PA and they celebrated 63 years of marriage before John passed away in 2009.
Lillian and John moved to New Cumberland in 1960. They raised and are survived by their three children - Kevin Pusey of New Cumberland, Beth (Louis) Pumphrey of Davie, FL, and Claire (Charles) Lyter of New Cumberland as well as a grandson, Jacob Laughman, also of New Cumberland.
Lillian worked for the West Shore School District and retired from Allen Middle School.
She was very active in her church, teaching vacation bible school and Sunday School, making countless Easter eggs and becoming a Stephen minister to care for people in distress. She was a girl scout leader for many years and very much enjoyed guiding and supporting all her young women.
She also enjoyed family gatherings, reading, traveling, and doing crossword puzzles in her free time.
In addition to her parents and husband, John, Lillian was preceded in death by her brothers, Osborne and Norman Larsen, her beloved sister, Ingrid Evans, and her nephew, Jason Evans. She is survived by her sister, Sylvia Erickson.
Lillian leaves behind a legacy of love for her family and many dear friends who will miss her terribly but will rejoice that she has been reunited with those she dearly loved.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 10-11 AM at Fishing Creek Salem United Methodist Church, 402 Valley Rd, Etters, PA 17319 with a service and luncheon to follow.
Lillian's family wishes to thank her wonderful church family and Fay Brown for all the cards and letters as well as her team at Homeland Hospice for their loving care.
In lieu of flowers, please hug your loved ones close and if you are lucky enough to still have your mother, give her a kiss and tell her you love her.
