Linda H. (Guse) Bernard

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Linda H. (Guse) Bernard, 78, who passed away on April 10, 2026, with her family by her side. Born on November 21, 1947, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, to the late Harold H. Guse and Martha J. (Powell) Guse and. Linda lived a life characterized by joy and kindness.

Linda graduated from Cedar Cliff High School in 1965 and pursued many diverse careers over the years. Her favorite of which was working at the former William Ris Gallery in Camp Hill where she fostered her love of art.

She loved to decorate, entertain, socialize with friends, and attend the theatre. She enjoyed traveling to Williamsburg, VA and Rehoboth Beach, DE. Linda was a lover of animals who had a passion for rescuing and caring for animals in need. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with granddaughter, Alivia.

She taught us that life’s best moments happen when you throw the plan and responsibilities out the window.

Linda is survived by her beloved daughter Marnée (Aaron) Martinelli, her granddaughter Alivia; her brother, Richard (Kathy) Guse; her sister, Marta (Eddie) Morrow; sister-in-law, Chris Guse; two nephews, Daniel and Steven Morrow; and two nieces, Serena Wray and Kendra Vogelberg, and a circle of close friends that she considered family.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lee Bernard and her brother, William “Bo” Guse.

Linda's life will be celebrated on Thursday, April 16th, 2026, at Parthemore Funeral Home, 1303 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, PA 17070, with a visitation starting at 10:30am and a memorial service immediately after starting at 11:30am.
