Linda Darlene Kipp

Linda Darlene Kipp, 85, of Etters, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away on July 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on April 21, 1941, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Linda was a proud 1959 graduate of John Harris High School. She dedicated many years of her life caring for others as a nursing assistant at PinnacleHealth Polyclinic Hospital before retiring to care for her daughter, Pam. Compassion was never simply her profession—it was who she was.

Linda spent most of her adult life in the Etters and New Cumberland area, where she became known not only for her caring heart but for the way she welcomed everyone into her life.

Nothing brought Linda greater joy than being “Memaw.” Whether you shared her last name or simply lived down the street, she loved you the same—with an open heart, an open door, and a laugh you’ll never forget. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel like family, and her love reached far beyond those related by blood.

Life asked Linda to carry more than most. After the heartbreaking losses of her daughters, Pam and Kathy, she somehow found the strength to keep loving, giving, and holding her family together. Through every joy and every heartbreak, she remained the steady presence her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and so many others could always count on.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Kipp and Margaret (Booz) Kipp; her longtime partner, Daryl Landis; her sisters, Sandra (Kipp) Burns and Carolyn (Kipp) Deckard; and her beloved daughters, Pamela (Henry) Miller and Kathy Henry.

She is survived by her sons, John Henry and Jeffrey Henry; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and countless “adopted by love” grandchildren and great-grandchildren whose lives were forever enriched by her kindness, guidance, unwavering encouragement, and unconditional love.

To her family, she was simply Memaw—a constant source of strength, comfort, wisdom, and unwavering love. She celebrated life’s greatest joys, carried others through its hardest moments, and left every person she met feeling seen, valued, and cared for. Her greatest legacy is found not in the years she lived, but in the generations she loved and the countless lives she shaped.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Linda’s life at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in New Cumberland on Friday, July 24, 2026. A viewing will be held at 9AM until the start of the funeral at 10AM, burial will follow at Tri-County Memorial Gardens in Lewisberry, Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Linda by extending kindness to someone who needs it, opening your heart to others as she always did, and reminding those you love just how much they mean to you. There would be no greater tribute to the woman who spent her life making everyone else feel like family.
