Born on February 27, 1950, in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Myra (Jarrett) Rochelle. She was a proud graduate of John Harris High School (Class of 1968). Beginning her senior year of high school, she went to work for Bell Telephone as an operator and would retire after 30 years of employment.
Linda met her husband, Ron Massal, when he was 12 and she was 13 at a Bishop McDevitt football game. They were married in 1969. She cherished her daughter, Laura (Massal) Campbell, and was a warm and loving mother. She loved being involved in Laura’s childhood, coaching cheerleading, leading her daughter’s girl scout troop and participating in the PTA. Linda was Baba to her two grandsons, Jacob and Ryan, whom she adored. She loved watching the boys at sports and music concerts; they were her greatest joy. She was known for her famous Baba apples and yummy belly buttons.
Linda loved puzzles and playing games. She enjoyed traveling, with her lifelong favorite destination being the Jersey Shore. She had a soft spot for animals, especially her cats. Linda will be remembered as a thoughtful, empathetic, funny, and generous wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Surviving Linda is her husband and best friend of 56 years, Ronald P. Massal; her daughter, Laura R. Campbell of Camp Hill; and grandchildren, Jacob M. Campbell and Ryan M. Campbell.
