Lorraine Joan Kelly

November 17, 1933 — February 3, 2023

Lorraine Joan (Scieska) Kelly, 89, of Allendale, Camp Hill, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023 in Signature Health Care of Ormond, Ormond Beach, FL.

She was a graduate of Newark Preparatory School, Newark, NJ and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, PA where she was a dedicated Catholic, a devoted volunteer with the Adoration Chapel, and a part-time hospitality greeter.

Lorraine loved to bake which prompted her to start Mrs. Kelly’s bakery, specializing in Irish Soda Bread (like no other) and mouth-watering cookies that you wouldn’t find anywhere else around! Later on, she continued organizing the bake sales. She was also a financial supporter of several worthy charitable organizations including Running Strong for American Indian Youth whose focus on native youth fosters changes across entire communities. She and her husband Ed once served as a host family for The Fresh Air Fund giving a child the opportunity to experience new things, learn new skills, and gain new perspectives. Lorraine was a deeply caring, generous, and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Lorraine was born in Garfield, NJ, the daughter of the late Andrew and Bertha (Nieradka) Scieska.

She was the widow of Edward R. Kelly (2018) and is survived by her sons, Scott A. Kelly and wife Sharon of Pittstown, NJ, and Drew E. Kelly and wife Norma of Ormond Beach, FL; her sister Camille Frazer of Lighthouse Point, FL; grandchildren, Shawna Mehall and husband John, Briana Thatcher, and husband Lance, Tommy Kelly and Max Kelly; and three great-grandsons, Sam Mehall, Malachi Mehall, and Ryder Thatcher.
