Mark Dennis Harrigan

July 12, 1946 — February 23, 2023

Mark Dennis Harrigan, 76, of Dillsburg, died Thursday, February 23, 2023, surrounded by his children and grandchildren.


Mark was born to the late Thomas L. and Mary L. Harrigan on July 12,1946 in Washington, D.C. Mark graduated from high school in Japan and then attended Ohio State University where he left midway through to join the Army. He served as a helicopter mechanic in the Vietnam War. Upon returning to the states, Mark completed his college education at Gannon University with majors in accounting and economics.


Mark married Regina Marie (Greenawalt) Harrigan in June of 1973 and they remained married until Regina’s passing on July 14, 2018. Mark is survived by his brother David of Pittsburgh, and sister Anne Bergmann of Livermore, CA and is predeceased by his brother John of Livermore, CA. Mark & Regina are survived by 3 children, their spouses & 7 grandchildren: Jill M. (Harrigan) Hindes & Thomas M. Hindes and their children Michael & Kathryn, Ellen L. (Harrigan) Paull & Brian M. Paull and their children Lukas & Noah, and Timothy L. Harrigan & Jennifer L. (Case) Harrigan and Tim’s son Logan and their daughter’s Josie & Olivia.


Mark retired as Chief Financial Officer from the Community Progress Council, Inc., York. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and having Sunday dinner with family. He enjoyed watching action movies, reading, playing pinochle, Hershey kisses and making others laugh.


Mark will be inurned with Regina at a graveside service with military honors at 10:30 on Monday, March 6, 2023, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp.
