Mary Ellen Rinehart, 92, of Coudersport passed away peacefully Monday, May 19, 2025 at Camp Hill Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born August 28, 1932 in Douglas(Rattlesnake Hill) Township to the late Raymond Howard and Fayette W. (Landis) Feight. She spent most of her life in the Boyertown area with her late husband of 68 years. She enjoyed telling stories of her childhood growing up on Rattlesnake Hill near Pine Forge. Mary volunteered many years with the Cub Scout Pack 239 at her church (First Baptist Church Pottstown). She was a knitter for Great American Knitting in Bally, Pa. and retired in 1996. One of her favorite pastimes was bingo at Hookies. She enjoyed spending time at their cabin in Potter County and helping out at Stowe Archery Club events.

Once retired she and Gerald Sr spent almost 20 years travelling the country in their fifth wheel camper. She enjoyed being camp host at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in the summer and Big Cypress National Preserve in the winter. They received Volunteer National Park Service Stewardship Achievement Award from Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Presidents Call to Volunteer Service Award from Big Cypress National Park. Once done with their travelling they settled down in Coudersport Pa.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Gerald K. Rinehart, Sr.; son, Robert R. Rinehart; grandson Robert Paul(Paulie); and five brothers( Franklin, Raymond Jr, Albert, John, Milton) and four sisters(Sarah Bannon, Clara Feight, Frances Clouser, Susan Feight).

She is survived by her children, Claire D. Engelman (Jere) of Mechanicsburg, Gerald K. Rinehart, Jr. (Mary Huertas) of Shickshinny, Keith A. Rinehart (Debbie) of Escondido, CA, Faye A. Colgan (Neil) of Bechtelsville; eleven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

In keeping with Mary's wishes there will be no public visitation or funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
