Mary Jo Turner

Mary Jo Turner, 72, of New Cumberland died Tuesday, March 5, 2024 surrounded by loved ones at Penn State Holy Spirit Medical Center, Camp Hill.

A 1970 graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School, Quicksburg, VA, she was a retired Claims Processor from Delta Dental.  Mary was an active member and Deaconess at Eberlys Mill Church of God.  She enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, gardening, golf, cooking, and sports.   She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.   Mary Jo was the center of her family, hosting holiday and event gatherings.

She was born December 8, 1951 in Mount Jackson, VA.   She was preceded in death by her father, Harry McDonald; husband, Ronald W. Turner, and grandchildren, Meghan and Emily Turner.

She is survived by her mother, Delores (Walters) McDonald of Mount Jackson, VA; children, Mark Turner of Etters, Lisa Stiely (Clair) of Lewisberry, Patrick Turner (Angela) of Harrisburg, and Molly Turner (Rebecca) of Harrisburg; sisters, Susan Quinn of Leesburg, VA, Julie Bean (Dale) of Edinburg, VA, and Lisa Miller of Mount Jackson, VA; grandchildren, Madelyn Turner, Erin Kling, and Paige Stiely; and great-granddaughter, Olivia Poet

Visitation will be from10am until memorial services at 11am Wednesday March 13th at Eberlys Mill Church of God, Camp Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org
