Matthew William Favinger

Matthew (aka Fave) Favinger, 45, of Etters, died peacefully in his sleep on March 6, 2026. He was the son of William and Darlene (Wern) Favinger, born on September 2, 1980 in Hershey, PA.

Matthew attended Red Land High School and participated in numerous area youth sports programs. An unfortunate accident left him with significant brain damage that affected him the remainder of his life. In spite of his impairment, he attempted to live a useful and independent life. Above all, he continued to maintain his love and devotion to his family and friends.

Surviving Matthew is his son, Camdyn who he was supportive to and was proud to witness his growth & accomplishments; his brother, Michael (Ashley) & their daughter, Rowan; stepbrother, William (Melody), stepsister, Wendy; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, Matt would have wanted a donation to the York County SPCA, 3159 N Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406
