Maureen A. (Lancaster) Romanoski, 67, formerly of New Cumberland, PA, found peace from her arduous battle with Alzheimer’s disease on Saturday, January 1, 2022 in Ephrata Manor.
She was born in Cleveland, OH, the eldest daughter of the late Ernest A. Lancaster and Patricia VonHoene Lancaster.
Maureen was a 1975 graduate of the College of Our Lady of the Elms, Chicopee MA, where her talents in the musical and theater arts flourished. While focusing on her growing family, Maureen’s faith and dedication to her community underpinned her service-oriented career. She was a parishioner of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland where she joyfully volunteered her time, teaching CCD and participating in the choir. She always made time to pursue her love of music, gardening, baking, reading and long walks with her husband. More than anything in this world, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Ronald A. Romanoski; children, Sarah Chase Puhl and husband, Matthew of Granville, NY, Theresa Chase of Philadelphia and Stephen Chase of Flemington; three sons in marriage, Christopher Romanoski and wife Hope Devlin of Buffalo, NY, Rev. Jonathan Romanoski of Providence, RI and Zachary Romanoski and wife Sara Jo of Sinking Spring; siblings, Michael, Kevin Richard, Daniel, David and Matthew Lancaster and Kelly Ayotte; grandchildren, Maia Puhl, Phoenix Chase, and Julia, Isabella and Ruby Jo Romanoski; and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 pm on Saturday, January 15, 2022 in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St. New Cumberland, PA. Visitation with the family will be held from 10:30 – 11:30 am Saturday in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
