Melvin L. Stahl, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, at the age of 89. He was born on May 11, 1936, in Loysville, PA, to the late Melvin and Louise (Hockenberry) Stahl. He spent his life dedicated to education and his family.

Melvin grew up in Loysville and was proud to be a graduate of Newport High School's Class of 1954. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Millersville State Teacher College in 1958 and later obtained a Master's degree from West Virginia University in 1963. For 39 wonderful years, he served as a teacher and guidance counselor within the West Shore School District, where he profoundly impacted countless students' lives until his retirement in 1997. Melvin also worked as a recruiter for the University of Science in Philadelphia, continuing his passion for education and helping students find their paths, he retired from there in 2009.

As a charter member of New Life Baptist Church and active participant at Christian Life Assembly, Melvin's faith remained central to his life and his love for his Savior Jesus Christ was his guiding force and light. His hobbies included gardening, hunting, and fishing, and he loved watching collegiate wrestling.

Melvin is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Donna (Buckwalter) Stahl; their sons, Timothy (Bernice), Daniel (Jammie), and Steven (Margie) Stahl; and daughter, Suzanne (Bill) Hollenbach. He was the proud grandfather of Joshua, Michael, Lauren, Derron, Kyle, and Kristianna, and the cherished great-grandfather to Ryker, Kolton, Violet, and Beau.

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 27 from 12 PM to 1 PM at Parthemore Funeral Home with a Funeral Service to follow at 1 PM, Pastor Ronnie Riggins will officiate. Burial will take place at Rolling Green Cemetery immediately after services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization that aligns with Melvin's caring spirit and commitment to helping others.
