Michael Eugene Smith, Sr.

Michael Eugene Smith, Sr. 68, of Harrisburg died Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at his home.

He was a mechanic for Lehman’s Automotive Service Center, Harrisburg. A graduate of John Harris High School, he previously worked at S&H Pontiac, Faulkner, Turner Buick, Cioca, and Lawrence Chevrolet. A very mechanical person, he could fix almost anything. He enjoyed restoring things such as vehicles and furniture. He really enjoyed wood grain, his record collection, drones, helicopters, his vinyl record collection, cats, and especially his grandchildren.

He was born December 11, 1950 in Harrisburg to the late John and Clara Bechtel.

He is survived by his son, Michael Eugene Smith, Jr. (Mary Catherine Baldari) of Wormleysburg; wife, Theresa Marie Smith of Camp Hill; several brothers and sisters; and seven grandchildren, Kortney, Anthonie, Julia, Claire, Logan, Knox, and Bella.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
