Monte Pearson, 84 of New Cumberland, PA passed away Thursday, December 4. Born March 11, 1941 in Lore City, Ohio, he is preceded in death by his father Earl and mother Grace (Canter) Pearson. His loving sister, Joyce (Pearson) Cale, passed away just a few days later on December 11, 2025.
Raised in Lore City, OH he graduated from the former Lore City High School in 1959 and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army stationed in Tully Greenland. After his military service, he returned home to Ohio and began a career as a mechanical engineer. His work eventually brought him and his family to New Cumberland, PA where they made their home for more than 50 years. Monte worked for the former AMP Inc. until he retired.
He was the loving husband of Janice (Gardner) Pearson with whom he shared 63 years of marriage. In addition to his wife, Monte is survived by his daughters Lynn (Pearson) Neidig and her husband Ken of York Haven and Julie M. Pearson of New Cumberland. He was a wonderful Papa to his granddaughter's Kendra Neidig of Tampa FL and Maia (Neidig) Armel and her wife Cari.
Visitation will be held at 10am until memorial service at 11am with a luncheon to follow on January 5, 2026 at Eberly’s Mill Church of God, Camp Hill. Internment with military honors will follow at 2pm at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Township.
