Nancy Krichmar

Nancy Krichmar, 78, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026. Born on February 22, 1948, in Newport News, VA, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Margaret (Hill) Hedenburg.

A 1967 graduate of Hampton High School, Nancy spent much of her career with Rite Aid, working as an editor in the company’s marketing department.

Nancy was generous with her time and found fulfillment in helping others. She frequently volunteered with New Hope Ministries Food Bank in Lemoyne and was especially passionate about sharing her love of reading. Through the STAR program, she helped deliver books to those who were homebound, allowing others to enjoy something that brought her so much happiness as well.

At home, Nancy enjoyed tending to her houseplants and garden, birdwatching, and settling in with a good book. An animal lover with an appreciation for nature, she found pleasure in the simple things around her. Her willingness to give so much of her time to others was a reflection of the caring and thoughtful person she was.

Surviving Nancy are her sons, David Krichmar (wife, Nidia) and Adam Krichmar (wife, Amanda); grandchildren, Lilith and Roman; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Hughes.

A memorial service will be held at 5:30PM on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
