Natal "Nate" J. Carabello

Natal “Nate” J. Carabello, 77, of Lemoyne, died Monday, March 28, 2022, at home.

Nate graduated from Reading Central Catholic High School and LaSalle University. He served in the United States Air Force. Nate was a career employee at the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services. He was a professional musician who particularly enjoyed volunteering his talent for many years at Penn State Holy Spirit Medical Center and the Central PA Food Bank. Nate was an avid chess player who cherished the time he spent with his friend Ed playing chess every Thursday. Nate remained devoted to his family, his church, and his music.

Born in Reading on October 13, 1944, he was the son of Frank and Frances (Giordano) Carabello.

Surviving are his wife, Gayle M. (Zitter) Carabello; two sons, Christian D. of Yardley and Steven A. (Elizabeth) of Mechanicsburg; four grandchildren, Christian, Andrew, Peter and Matthew; brothers, Fr. Frank Carabello of Gretna, LA, Paul Carabello of Reading; sister, Betty Jean Cronan of Milwaukee, WI.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 PM on Friday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Kyle Sahd as celebrant. Burial will be at Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
