Nethsy Leitha Joseph, 41, of Camp Hill, PA, passed away after a four-year battle with cancer, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at her home. Born on February 11, 1984, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, she was the daughter of Yvacito and Lydie Joseph.
Growing up in Haiti, Nethsy would immigrate to the U.S. at the start of her college journey. She took coursework at both HACC and the University of Phoenix, ultimately earning a degree in Psychology from the latter. For nearly 20 years, she dedicated herself to her work as a behavioral health specialist at the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute (PPI) in Harrisburg.
In her late 20s, Nethsy met Jon, the love of her life. The two were married in 2013 and began building a life and family together. They shared a passion for dining out, attending festivals, and enjoying stand-up comedy and live entertainment of all kinds. She especially loved their nights out—genuinely appreciating any reason to dress up and look her best. Her refined sense of style was reflected in her impressive collection of designer clothes, makeup, shoes, and perfumes. She radiated confidence at all times and possessed the charm and charisma of a movie star.
Intelligent, caring, and fiercely loyal, Nethsy always stood firmly behind her husband and children. At the same time, she was undeniably the one who kept the household in order—something Jon happily embraced. She was trilingual, fluent in three languages and studying a fourth, and she was also proficient in American Sign Language. She was a practical jokester and a perfect combination of laid back and spontaneous. She loved meeting new people, exploring new cuisines, and diving into a good book. Nethsy’s smile, warmth and positive spirit will be forever etched in the memories of those she knew.
Surviving Nethsy is her husband of 11 years, Jon Anderson; her children, Indira, Ava, Jacob and Noah; her Manmy and Papi, Yvacito and Lydie Joseph; and her siblings, Gherry Joseph and Mika Joseph. She also leaves behind a loving set of in-laws and extended family whom she inherited through marriage.
