Norma J. Gerheim, 89, of New Cumberland was called home on Thursday, November 14, 2024 in her home surrounded by family. She was a remarkable wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was the heart and soul of our family. She was known for her smiles, her hugs and her chocolate chip cookies. Full of love and laughter, she touched the lives of all who knew her. She leaves a legacy of kindness, strength and resilience.
Norma was born January 19, 1935 in Salina, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents: George W. and Ruth Naomi (Baker) Ripple; husband Blake Gerheim; siblings: Don Ripple, Peg Cramer, Betty Anderson, Joan Butch, Nick Ripple and Ray Ripple. She is survived by her daughters, Wanda M. Bateman (Jim) of Lewisberry and Lisa R. McIntyre (Shane) of Spring Hill, TN; granddaughters, Nicole D. Wheeler (Patrick), Andrea D. Saner (Eric); and great-grandchildren: Mark, Henry, Grace, Ruth, Blair, and Dean and numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will begin at 10am, with the funeral service at 11am Thursday, November 21st at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Burial will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
Norma’s family asks that she be remembered for the grace and love that she extended to others.
