Pamela L. Ellsesser, 66, of Harrisburg passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
She was born April 15, 1957 in Wilmington, DE to the late Gifford W. and Susan D. (Ryan) Thompson. From the beginning, she was a devoted sister and daughter to her family. Growing up, she exhibited a love and talent for performing arts and music, including becoming the head majorette at Red Land High School.
Pam received her Bachelor degree from Penn State University in Information Systems and Masters of Education from Wilkes. As a successful business woman and entrepreneur, she created Komputer Kids, an educational technology consulting company that had a positive impact on school districts across Central Pennsylvania.
The start of a true love story, she met her husband of 37 years, Jerry, on an airplane. Together they built a loving relationship that set a beautiful example for their children and grandchildren.
Pam was sweet, loving, and kind, with the most beautiful smile. She was an elegant, female presence. She loved traveling, gardening, reading, yoga, bike riding, and dancing. Most of all, she loved her family, always providing unconditional love and support. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, daughter, and sister. A true matriarch, Pam constantly expressed how she was happiest surrounded by “her boys.”
She was a member of Cross Point United Methodist Church. A woman of faith, she never missed a day of reading her morning devotionals, praying for her family and those she loved, and meditating. Her family finds comfort knowing she is now in the loving arms of the Lord.
Her beautiful memory will live on through her husband, Jerry; step-son, Jeff (Christa) of Perkiomenville; sons, Justin (Vicky) of Orlando, FL, and Corey (Rachel) of Lancaster; grandsons, Luke and Jack; brothers, Giff (Beth) Thompson, III of Harrisburg and Timothy (Marnie) Thompson of Hamburg, NY; and her loyal canine companion, Scooter.
Viewing will be from 9:30am until funeral services at 11am Saturday, January 20th at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name are requested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, https://www.stjude.org/
