Patricia Anne “Patti” Winteler, 70, of Hershey, and formerly of New Cumberland, Lemoyne and Mechanicsburg, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022 in Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center.
She was a retired claims analyst with Highmark, Camp Hill before becoming an independent contractor as a medical transcriber. Patti was a graduate of Trinity High School, Camp Hill and received her Bachelors in Special Education from West Chester University, West Chester, PA. An accomplished saxophone player, Patti played in several local bands including the orchestras of Christ Community Church and Christian Life Assembly, both in Camp Hill. She volunteered and cared for animals with the Helen O. Krause Animal Foundation, Inc. and enjoyed cooking, gardening and developing herbal remedies from her garden. Additionally, she was a skilled seamstress.
Patti was born in Phoenix AZ, the daughter of the late Roy and Grace (Halbleib) Cook. She is survived by her loving husband of more than 21 years William C. Winteler; two daughters, Elizabeth Kotzmoyer of Harrisburg and Alison Shank of Camp Hill, Pa.; siblings, Theresa Cook of Hershey, James Cook of King of Prussia and Roy Cook of Mechanicsburg; and two granddaughters, Kayla and Aaliyah.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, September 26, 2022 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service time in the funeral home. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
