Patricia Ann Schmidt

Patricia Ann Schmidt of Mechanicsburg died Tuesday, April 16, 2024, after a brief illness.  

Patt was born May 8, 1932, in Harrisburg to the late Landis Darius and Mary Emma (McCreary/Hollinger) Thomson. She was the widow of John Donald Schmidt.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law Stuart D. Downey, three sisters Mary Ellen Miles, Winifred Larson, and Carol Kiscadden, and two brothers, Landis and John (Jack) Thomson.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen L. Downey of Davie, FL; son, Eric L. Schmidt and his wife Laura M. Rogers of Mechanicsburg; sister, Shirley Beane of Camp Hill; sister-in-laws Jean Thomson of Hershey and Margo Mathias of Harrisburg; and three grandchildren, Skye Velasquez and her husband Esteban, and Logan and Caleb Downey of Davie, FL.

A private internment service was held at Rolling Green Cemetery in Camp Hill.
