Pauline B. Nelson

Pauline B. Nelson, 97, formerly of Bridgeport, CT died, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle.

She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Parish, Stratford, CT. She was devoted to her faith and her family. Sunday family dinners were always at her table where she would bring in fresh produce from her own garden and serve delicious and nutritious meals. Her homemade coleslaw was a family favorite. She also admired flowers, solving word puzzles and watching all types of cooking shows.

She was born August 21, 1915 in Bridgeport, CT to the late William A. and Mary (Duch) Miklus. She was the widow of Edwin G. Nelson. She was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.

She is survived by a daughter, Joyce A. Young (John) of New Cumberland; a sister, Marian Miklus of Trumbull, CT; two grandchildren, Mark A. Young (Jennifer) of Hiram, GA and Susan A. Young of New York, NY; and two great-grandchildren, Zachary T. and Sara M. Young.

Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30 AM Friday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Friday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Interment will be at 2 PM Monday in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT.
