Ralph H. Gregory, 83, of New Cumberland, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023 in UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.
He was a retired Mechanic with the Naval Ships Parts Control Center, Hampden Twp. and a Korean War and Viet Nam War Army veteran. He was a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary and the New Cumberland River Rescue. Ralph loved to fish and boat, he collected models of boats and was a “master fixer”. He could repair or create just about anything. His woodworking skills allowed him to make furniture and toy boxes for his children and grandkids, bread boxes, and just about anything someone could come up with or need.
Ralph was born in Eugene, OR, the son of the late Fred and Helen (Stevens) Gregory and was the widower of Elizabeth (Muncy) Gregory.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather Norris and husband Tim of New Cumberland; siblings, Robert Gregory of Yoncalla, OR, Darlene Miles of Salt Lake City, UT, and Alex Gregory of Overton, NV; two grandchildren, Robert Matthews and Jessica Matthews Oliver; and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Tamyra Edmonds who so lovingly cared for Ralph for the last part of his life. They are sincerely grateful.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, March 24, 2023 in Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church, 228 Bridge St. New Cumberland with the Rev. Joshua Davinsizer officiating. Viewing will be two hours prior to service time in the church. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp., PA.
