Raymond Francis Napoli passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 with his family by his side. Raymond was born on July 25, 1936 to the late, Filomena (Intrieri) and Agostino Napoli in Harrisburg, PA. He graduated from Catholic High in Harrisburg, PA in 1954. He married the love of his life, Margaret “Peg” (Carduff) Napoli in 1961. They had a long and happy life together. Peg passed on in 2019. Ray is survived by his beloved daughter, Michelle Schaaf and son-in-law, Carl Schaaf.
The youngest of eight siblings, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Carmela and Theresa Napoli, Dora Allen, Frances Plott, Julia Weaver and brothers, Albert and Alfred Napoli.
In addition to his daughter and son-in-law, Ray is survived by his sister-in-law, Susan Johnson and her husband, David; sister-in-law Kathryn (Kay) Miller and her husband James; brother-in-law, James Allen, sister-in-law, Patricia Napoli, brother-in-law, Thomas Carduff and his wife, Janet and brother-in-law, Joseph Carduff as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ray retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania where he worked for the Department of General Services. Ray also worked for Pomeroy’s and Bon Ton department stores for thirty years. In addition, Ray was a licensed barber.
As a devout Catholic and longtime member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Camp Hill, he faithfully served his church in several roles. He was a Eucharistic Minister for decades. He volunteered as the blood bank coordinator for the church, organized the Lenten Appeal volunteers, served as an Arimathean and regularly counted the collection offerings over the years.
His favorite hobby was golfing with his brothers-in-law. He also enjoyed having breakfast and lunch with his relatives or friends at local restaurants. He traveled to Ireland and to Italy where he was able to visit the hometowns of his parents and meet cousins who still lived there. He enjoyed going on cruises with his wife, daughter and son-in law.
A public viewing will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026, from 6-8 PM at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland with a rosary service starting at 7:45 PM. The following morning, Tuesday, March 17, a second viewing will be held from 9:30-10:15 AM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Camp Hill before mass begins at 10:30 AM in the church. Burial will immediately follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
Donations may be made in Ray’s name to Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
