It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Richard C. Hoke, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this life on October 28, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on May 30, 1944, in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, to the late Louise (Lebo) Hoke and Robert Hoke, Richard dedicated his life to his family and his passions, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.
Richard is best remembered as an avid motorcycle enthusiast, particularly fond of his Harley Davidson, which he lovingly referred to as his wife’s "sports car" after he graduated to a bigger model with a sidecar. He found great joy in travel, with cherished memories of riding the Dragon's Tail in Tennessee—a thrilling journey marked by its 318 curves over 11 miles.
Throughout his life, Richard cherished time spent grilling with family and friends. His warm spirit and playful nature shone brightest when he engaged in his favorite pastimes, including shooting guns at the local sportsman's club. Above all, Richard's first love was his wife, Kathie, with whom he shared 37 wonderful years of marriage and countless memories.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Hoke; and stepdaughter, Tammy Ann.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathie (Deyarmin) Hoke; his son Jeremy Hoke (Jess) and their children, Charlie, Milton, and Liam; beloved stepsons Danny Ray Mardis (Tammy) and David Paul Mardis (Lisa); and a host of grandchildren, including Sara, Danny Jr., Dezzary, Raymond, Destiny, David Jr., Taya, Stormy, along with several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
