Richard M. "Dick" Illioff

February 8, 1938 — March 4, 2026

New Cumberland, PA

Richard M. "Dick" Illioff, 88, of New Cumberland, and formerly of Goldsboro, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. He was the son of the late Boris and Lillian (Butts) Illioff, born on February 8, 1938, in Harrisburg.

Having attended Steelton High School, Dick would remain in South Central PA all his life. He married his sweetheart, Olivia, in 1960, and a year later, began five years of service with the Army National Guard.

Dick was known for his strong work ethic and spent much of his life working with his hands. Over the years, he worked as a janitor at Red Land High School, spent time as a mechanic, and also worked at Bethlehem Steel. The majority of his career, however, was with PennDOT, where he proudly served on the road crew until his retirement. Never one to sit still, he retired yet again after working as a janitor for Goldsboro Borough.

Outside of work, Dick stayed active and social, playing softball with both the King’s Arms and Gene’s Paint & Body Shop teams, and as a member of Goldsboro’s Fireman’s Club and Fire Company. A member of the Sportsman’s Association in Forksville, he always looked forward to the borough’s annual Bowhunters Festival and Fishing Derby. Dick and Olivia were longtime members of Goldsboro Church of God, and he was an avid Penn State and North Carolina collegiate sports fan.

Hunting and camping were his favorite hobbies, but a strong runner-up was his lifelong mission of protecting the parking space in front of his Goldsboro home. An excellent example for his boys, it was especially heartwarming to see him soften with age as he became a grandfather. His family will miss the light jingle of his keys, signaling he was ready to go home. And though he will be missed by many, Dick was truly ready to go home, and it is a blessing that he is finally at peace.

Surviving is his wife and best friend of 65 years, Olivia F. (Sturgen) Illioff; sons, Richard P. Illioff (wife, Diana) and Mark A. Illioff (wife, Lori); and grandchildren, Katlyn and Jared.

A public visitation will be held from 11AM until a memorial service begins at noon on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Interment will take place in the future at Paddletown Cemetery, Etters.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in Dick’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
