Sandra L. “Sandy” Fisher, 85, of New Cumberland, Fairview Twp., passed peacefully Monday, July 28, 2025 at Homeland Center, Harrisburg.
A homemaker, she was extremely dedicated to her family and the community in roles such as team mom for her sons many sports teams, baseball candy lady, and reliable chauffer for her grandchildren and even their friends to make sure they got home from school and other activities safely. Sandy enjoyed playing cards, painting ceramics, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. You were always welcome at her home for a cup of coffee and a good chat and you were sure to encounter others there for the same reason. She was affectionately known to all for her loving guidance such as “Now wash your hands!”
She was born September 22, 1939 in Harrisburg to the late Carl and Esther Catherine (Bennett) Harris. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Carl “Sonny” Harris and her wonderful step-father, Nathaniel Pease, Sr.
She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years and 8 months, Jack Allen Fisher; sons, Allen W. Fisher (Renee) of New Cumberland, Mark A. Fisher (Gloria) of New Cumberland, Douglas L. Fisher of Etters, and Martin E. Fisher (Tami) of New Cumberland; brother, Nathaniel Pease of Camp Hill; sister, Esther Boose of Dillsburg; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, August 11, 2025 at Tri-County Memorial Gardens, Lewisberry, for family and friends.
