November 8, 1948 — May 30, 2025

Fairview Twp.

Sandra A. Price, 76, of Fairview Twp., died Friday, May 30, 2025 at Penn State Holy Spirit Medical Center, Camp Hill.

Sandy had a great love for children that wove through many aspects of her life. For years, she was devoted to driving her daughters, Shane and Ashley, to ballet lessons with the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and later supported her eldest’s ballet dreams in New York City. In her earlier years, she received her BA in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Indiana University, Bloomington. As a salesperson for The Learning Source in Camp Hill, she built upon this and found joy in assisting parents and teachers in early education. When Sandy became a grandmother, her grandkids came to learn that the special yellow bag meant a new puzzle or toy from the store. Outside of her family, she thoroughly enjoyed all things culinary, especially cookbooks. Saturday and Sunday mornings would inevitably find her watching cooking shows on television and writing down recipes for dishes that struck her fancy. She was renowned in the family for her lasagna with Bechamel sauce, eventually passing down her recipe to her daughters and grandchildren. Sandy also enjoyed traveling, having been to Italy several times and taking cruises of the lower Mediterranean and the Adriatic Seas after exploring Greece. By her side through all the miles travelled, children raised, and recipes tasted was her loving husband, Kent, whom she loved dearly for their 48 years of marriage.

She was born November 8, 1948, in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Norman and Elaine (Weaver) Griffis. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Shane M. Laube.

She will be forever missed by her husband, C. Kent Price; daughter, Ashley Louden (Peter) of New Cumberland; son-in-law Pete Laube of Brooksville, FL; brother, Kenton Griffis; sisters, Barbara Miller, Cheryl Kumfer, and Janine Griffis-Kohl; grandchildren, Hunter B. Laube (Madeline), Hayden C. Laube, Charlotte K. Louden, and Griffin J. Louden; and great-daughters, Suleika Laube and Penelope Laube.

A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held at a date and location to be announced.
