Scot Robert Gibson, 67, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on August 7 at his home surrounded by his wife and his two children.
Scot was born on June 21, 1958, to the late G. Robert Gibson and Francis (Alunni) Gibson in Hershey. He was a graduate of Hershey High School and went on to earn a BS in business from Temple University.
He was a Supply Chain Executive with Pitt Ohio, dedicating more than 40 years to a career where his talent, creativity, and relationship building made him a legend in the company. He received numerous awards, including The Bill Miller Award which was only achieved by a select few.
Scot had a larger than life presence. Those who knew him will always remember his one of a kind sense of humor. Scot valued family time, especially pool time, Sunday dinners and family vacations. He loved nothing more than going out on the town with his lovely wife and best friend Marla.
As a life long hockey player he'd tell you the pinnacle of his ice time came when he played and won a championship at Twin Ponds East with his son Derek. He was member of West Shore Country Club and enjoyed playing tennis, golf and pickle ball. He was a great cook and passed down his famous mashed potato recipe to his daughter Tatiana (Little Scotie). He loved his dogs and often took them swimming with him in the pool.
Scot and Marla owned a local salon and day spa for 17 years. He always supported those around him and made them laugh. Scot made life fun! He will be forever loved and remembered.
Surviving is his wife, Marla, of 25 years; his children, Derek Gibson, Tatiana Gibson, and Logan Conrad; and a brother, Jamie Gibson.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in Scot's name to the Humane Society of Harrisburg.
