Steven J. Yasalonis of Enola, PA, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025 at the age of 73. He graduated from Cedar Cliff High School in 1969 and later retired as a Mailroom Foreman at The Patriot-News.

Loving the outdoors, he spent many days hunting, fishing, and traveling with his beloved wife, Kathleen. One of his favorite pastimes was playing the harmonica with his youngest brother, Alan. He was also a passionate NASCAR and Green Bay Packers fan. Steven had a strong mechanical skillset with the belief that anything could be fixed, often spending his time perfecting model trains.

Steven had a deep interest in astronomy. He enjoyed stargazing and took part in SETI@home, a project led by the University of California at Berkeley to find evidence of intelligent life outside the solar system. For his contributions, he received a Certificate of Appreciation after identifying several repeating radio signals with a high likelihood of intelligent origin.

Steven is survived by his brothers, John Yasalonis, Michael Yasalonis, and Alan Yasalonis. He is also remembered by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Kathleen Yasalonis; his parents, John J. and Sophia Yasalonis; his sister-in-law, Josephine Yasalonis; and several aunts and uncles.

Visitation will take place from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Parthemore Funeral Home, 1303 Bridge Street in New Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM, directly across the street from the funeral home at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge Street in New Cumberland. After mass, a procession will depart for Rolling Green Cemetery, 1811 Carlisle Road in Camp Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, PA 17070.
