Thomas H. "Big Daddy" Pechart

Thomas H. “Big Daddy” Pechart, 66, of Dover passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023 at his home surrounded by family after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Tom was a Snowcat Groomsman for Roundtop Mountain Resort.  He was well known for his favorite saying: “Every Day is a Good Day, Brother!”  He enjoyed spending time with his family the most. Big Dad's interests included boating, skiing, life on the river, life outdoors, music, dirt track racing, bowling, and spending time with his loving, loyal best friend Pluto.

Tom took the time to appreciate the simpler things in life.  He would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need.  Big Dad was very laid back, free spirited, and was one with nature.

Tom was born March 15, 1957 in Harrisburg.  He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Pechart, and his second father, John Johnson and son, Mike DeArment

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie L. Pechart; mother, Emily Johnson; son, Matt DeArment (Theresa); daughter, Heather DeArment-Rodriguez (Joe); grandchildren, Noah M. DeArment, Elle Varner (Bo), Kara Manning (Bremahr), Jasmine De Arment; and great-grandson, Brelen Manning; siblings, Dottie Fickes (Pete), Tim Pechart (Linda), Ron Pechart, John Johnson (Donna); and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Visitations will be held from 5-7pm Thursday, 10/5 and 10-11am Friday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.  Funeral services will be held at 11am followed by burial in Tri-County Memorial Gardens, Newberry Twp. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
