Timothy Dale "Josh Book

Timothy Dale “Josh” Book, 55, of Conewago Twp., York, died Thursday, July 7, 2022, at his home.

He retired as a state employee, working initially as a Phych Aide at the former Harrisburg State Hospital before transferring to a Supervisor position at the Bureau of Hearings and Appeals; He also retired as a Sargent from the Army, serving as a photojournalist(46Q).

He was an avid reader, artist, outdoorsman and photographer; He also was an animal lover with a soft spot for dogs and horses.

Born on September 6, 1966, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Ronald L. and Sharon R. (Moss) Book. He was also the widower of Christina Mae (Yaukey) Book.

Surviving are his daughters, Aimee M. Book of New Cumberland, Holly K. Harrison of Chambersburg, Carrie J. Book of Harrisburg, and Alyssa M. Book of Chambersburg; two grandchildren, Aubrie and Addyson; a brother and sisters, Rodney Book of Mechanicsburg, Jennifer Fox of Etters and Heather Short of Lewisberry; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, Inc., humanesocietyhbg.org.
