Timothy Charles Werner, 57, of York Haven, PA, passed away peacefully with his family by his side late in the evening on Friday, March 6, 2026, at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD. He was the son of Charles and Jamesina (Baker) Werner, born on July 2, 1968, in Harrisburg.
A 1986 graduate of Northern York High School in Dillsburg, Tim went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Shippensburg University four years later. It was there that he met his future wife, Krista, and the two would begin building a life together in South Central Pennsylvania.
Tim was known for his warmth, wit, and natural ability to connect with people. Professionally, he spent much of his career as a project manager and estimator in the pre-construction field. More recently, he found what he considered his dream role with Wildheart Ministries in Harrisburg, an organization he had faithfully volunteered with for years. There, he helped secure grants and funding for the rehabilitation of properties in low-income areas—work that closely reflected his personal mission of serving others.
Service and community were central to who Tim was. As a member of Leadership Harrisburg, he volunteered in numerous ways, partnering with organizations such as United Way and participating in events like the annual Clean Up Day on City Island.
Wherever Tim went, people gathered. Whether mountain biking, hiking, hunting, or praying, he maintained strong friendships across every part of his life. Yet his greatest joy was found at home. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Tim placed family at the center of everything he did, always ready to set aside his own plans to help those he loved.
Together, Tim and Krista shared a gift for bringing people together. Nowhere was that more evident than in the pavilion they built in their backyard—a welcoming place designed for community with family, friends, and even strangers.
Tim carried a quiet confidence and sense of calm that put others at ease. Even in his final hours, he reassured his family that everything would be okay. While 57 years feels far too brief, Tim was a genuine example of how to make every moment count. He will be missed.
Surviving Tim is his wife and best friend of 33 years, Krista Werner; his children, Zachary Werner (Mollie) of Dover, and Julianna Werner (Nico) of Dillsburg; a grandson, Bennett Werner; parents, Charles and Jasemina Werner of Dillsburg; siblings, Scott Werner (Nicole) of Carlisle; father and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Mary Burry of Myrtle Beach, SC; a brother-in-law, Graham Burry of Lancaster; many nieces and nephews, and a large extended family.
A public visitation and time to greet family and friends will take place from 2-4PM on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. A celebration of Tim's life will immediately follow at 4PM in the funeral home.
Tim's family would like to send their very sincere thanks to The Johns Hopkins Hospital staff and medical team. Their honesty, ingenuity and compassion were evident in all phases of Tim's treatment.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in Tim’s name to Wildheart Ministries.
