Wesley P. Beard, 77, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on March 13, 2026. Born on May 15, 1948 in York Haven, PA to the late David and Alma (Walters) Beard. Wesley lived a life characterized by hard work, dedication, and a remarkable passion for the things he loved.

Wesley proudly served in the Army, and his commitment to service was reflected in every aspect of his life. For nearly three decades, he shared a beautiful marriage with his late wife, Nancy, building a family grounded in love and support.

Throughout his career as a truck mechanic, Wesley was known for his incredible skills and unwavering perfectionism. He thrived in the automotive industry, embracing the art of working with his hands and mastering the intricacies of vehicles. His love for race cars and sprint car driving fueled his adventurous spirit, and he often spent weekends at the racetrack, never expecting to win just enjoying every turn.

Wesley's attention to detail and organizational skills were second to none. Whether in his garage or at home, he took pride in maintaining a clean, well-ordered space. He was also a dedicated member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, where his faith and community involvement were central to his life.

He is survived by his stepsons, Kenneth (Rebecca) and Dale Koppenhaver; grandchildren, Brenden and Kate Koppenhaver; his brother, Larry (Kay) Beard; and his sisters, Bonnie (Blair) Duncan and Mary Custer.
